Why
should I choose you? Can’t I do this myself?
Yourlifedigital.com has the expertise, experience, and
equipment to provide you high-quality, professional
services and products you expect. Most people have computers
that have basic digital imaging and video production
software programs on them. However, what you don’t
have is TIME. We do what you don’t have time to
do.
How do I send in
my materials? Do I send the physical copies or digital
files?
You can scan them in yourself and send us a CD of the
files or you can send us your original materials. We
take pride in caring for your precious photos, etc.
and will treat them like our own. We are very interested
in genealogy and archiving materials so we understand
how important these materials are to you and how to
protect them from harm. Your materials will be sent
back to you in the same condition we received them.
We cannot be responsible for what happens to your materials
in transit (i.e. shipping process, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
If you wish to send us copies or your originals please
make sure the quality is comparable between the two.
That will ensure the quality of our products as well.
How
should I protect my photos while they are in transit?
Obviously, you want to protect your materials using
plastic sheets or bags. Using strong cardboard can also
help keep your materials in place during shipping. Buying
insurance through your shipping provider is a cheap
and logical way to safeguard your materials.
Do
my materials need to be organized when I send them in?
Not necessarily. However, please try to organize (label,
etc.) your photos, documents, etc. before sending them
to us. This can be done either chronologically or by
subject (i.e. vacations, events, people, etc.) It is
best to order your materials by numbering them with
a pencil or post-it notes. We want you to be completely
satisfied with your products. If you do not organize
them, we will do our best to make a logical and unforgettable
show.
I
just want a part of my photo collection to be digitized?
Can you do just that?
Yes! We will scan all of your photos and make them digital!
You don’t have the time to do that. We will make
sure you have a digital copy just in case something
bad happens to your originals.
Will
you keep a digital and/or physical copy of my DVD?
Yes. We will keep a backup copy along with a hardcopy
of your DVD unless you tell us to delete them. We do
this in case you wish to have more copies or if you
want to add more photos, etc. to the show itself later.
Can
I pick my own music?
Yes. We encourage you to do so. To include copyrighted
music you must own the original recording. You can either
send us the original CD or we can purchase the music
online on your behalf. All materials will be returned
with your order.
Can
you work from older pictures, photographs, or documents?
Yes. We can scan almost anything into the computer,
from wedding invitations to newspaper articles, birthday
cards, and genealogical materials. These items add a
wonderful personal touch to your DVD show.
Can
I order additional copies of my video?
Certainly. Additional VHS copies are $7 each and additional
DVD copies, which include labels and a case, are $10
each. Orders of 10 or more additional copies are discounted.
We can also do large orders with discounted pricing.

When
or where would I show this DVD show?
That’s up to you. Imagine showing your family
and friends a show of your high school graduate from
when they were a baby to the present day? Or how about
a 5-10 minute show at a wedding reception? These are
also great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays!
How
long is the DVD? How many photos should I send you?
That’s up to you. Do you want it to be 10 minutes
at most? Or is it all right to have a 30-minute show?
50 photos typically run around 4-7 minutes. 100 photos
can be 8-12 minutes. You can also add video to your
show! You could make it 45 minutes if you wanted! It
all depends on the situation as to when and where you
are going to show the DVD.
Can
short video clips be added to the show?
Yes! Just provide us one or more video clips and tell
us where you would like it in the show. You can either
convert the video yourself or send the tapes or DVD
to us and we can do it for you with our state-of-the-art
equipment for a minimal charge.
Where
can the DVD you create be played?
You can play your DVD on your DVD player or computer.
Want it on VHS? No problem. We can convert your show
onto a VHS tape.
How
long does it take to receive my DVD?
On most orders we can have your DVD to you in 1-2 weeks.
